Turnkey’s Online Campaign Partner Blows Fundraising Goal Out of the Water

Kenyan Organization Exceeds Goal by Nearly 90%

(Richmond, VA- January 5, 2010): Turnkey Promotions, a Richmond-based promotions company specializing in nonprofit fundraising, announced its first virtual campaign partner, One Home Many Hopes(http://www.onehomemanyhopes.org), has exceeded its fundraising goal by nearly 90%; an accomplishment unheard of in today’s economic climate. Turnkey developed and administered the fundraising incentive program that produced these results.

As Turnkey President stated in a previous post about the 2009 Breaking Ground campaign, “This was a new adventure for us. Typically we help nonprofits raise money within the context of a culminating walk, run or gala within a community. We use specific marketing techniques and recognition gifts to encourage participants to reach higher fundraising levels. Here, we applied those same tactics to an online, and virtually worldwide, community.”

One Home Many Hopes (OHMH) board member Jennifer Hopcroft says, “We are thrilled and amazed over the success of our Breaking Ground campaign. In today’s economic environment we weren’t really sure what to expect. We originally set a goal that frankly, Katrina balked at. She recommended we aim higher, in fact, 37 % higher! It is truly a blessing. This money will enable us to build a sustainable home for our Kenyan girls,” she remarks.

Our on-the-ground event clients see great returns as well, but I must admit, this was really a special event for us. I actually know the names of people who will benefit from our efforts.
