(Richmond, VA- April 11, 2011): Turnkey Promotions, a Richmond-based promotions company specializing in nonprofit fundraising incentive programs and corporate recognition campaigns, announced today the company has hired John Lee, former CEO of JRL Creations, Inc. and Ink & Thread Promotions. John brings extensive print knowledge and experience to Turnkey. He will focus primarily on client relations and account acquisition in his new role as Senior Account Manager, and, unbeknownst to him as yet, he will also be required to valet park clients’ cars during his first six months of service.

“I’ve know John for many, many years. I know all his bad habits and I still hired him; he is THAT good,” says Turnkey Promotions CEO, Katrina VanHuss. “But seriously, I can’t say enough good things about John. His background in screen printing and embroidery make him especially valuable to our clients. He understands the process. He has even worked a press or two and knows his way around an embroidery machine. Our clients will love his sense of humor, which of course, is completely necessary if you plan to survive at Turnkey.”

John Lee began his career in promotional product manufacturing nearly 27 years ago when he started JRL Creations, Inc. JRL was a full service, in-house screen printing and embroidery shop that serviced over 700 clients locally and internationally. The company worked with many different types of clientele, including school districts, restaurants, and professional sports teams. The company also regularly provided promotional items to participants of the New Year’s Day parade in London. In 2007, Lee stepped away from in-house production toward client care when he created Ink & Thread Promotions.

“I have gradually moved toward what I really love to do, which is to work directly with clients,” says John Lee. “As Senior Account Manager for Turnkey I am liberated. Gone is the angst of business ownership and keeping a piece of machinery running. In its place is the pure joy of focusing on my clients. My only concern is I keep getting these texts about some car I need to go get.”
