The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is a non-profit organization that partners with numerous Regional Partner Organizations to provide its national standard of certification to women-owned businesses throughout the country. It is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations.

“Seriously, we had to go through a very rigorous application process,” says CEO VanHuss. “This certification means that even more corporate and nonprofit doors are opened for us. And well, it also confirms that I’m a female – something my mom and dad told me all along but I just didn’t believe them. May have had something to do with the heavy lifting and field work they gave me every day on the farm,” she adds. The father of her children concurs with the WBENC finding.
