During 2013 Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council Conference

Among responsibilities, interview assistant VP of events for American Lung Association.


Turnkey Promotions, a Richmond-based promotions company specializing in nonprofit fundraiser recognition programs, announced today that CEO, Katrina VanHuss will moderate and/or present during the 2013 Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council Conference March 13-14 in Atlanta, Georgia. This marks the third time VanHuss will take an active role in the conference by either speaking or leading a panel discussion.

This year VanHuss will share her volunteer management and peer-to-peer fundraising expertise during the Emerging and Large Program segments of the conference. VanHuss will also facilitate roundtable discussions about fundraiser recognition programs – a subject she has researched since 2009, publishing four research papers on the topic.

2011 Alzheimer’s Association Orange County event skirts traditional donor ask strategy -- sees donations increase 410%.

(Richmond, VA-October 15, 2012): Turnkey Promotions, a Richmond-based promotions company specializing in nonprofit fundraising incentive programs and corporate recognition campaigns, announced today that its Income Triggered Email Campaign for the Alzheimer’s Association is among the 2012 FundRaising Success magazine Gold Award winners for Fundraising Excellence.

More than 120 fundraising campaigns vied for the gold or silver level prize in six different categories. Turnkey Promotions’ campaign earned the silver award in the "E-mail Campaign" group for the results the ITEC realized during the 2011 Alzheimer’s Association Orange County Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Andrea McDonald, Walk Coordinator for Alzheimer’s Orange County Chapter, will accept the award on behalf of the campaign.

Not surprisingly, we’ve begun to see the tragic disaster in Japan impact the cost of goods here at home. For example, we have recently been notified by one of our manufacturers that flash drive costs have risen 50% in the last 24 hours. This is because many of the factories that manufacture USB flash drive components are located there and have suffered damage. Luckily, our manufacturer will honor published pricing until March 19. Future pricing will be evaluated on a week-by-week basis depending on the latest information from overseas.
